Fighting Vipers is one of the 3 SEGA Model 2 arcade games now available on XBLA, the game is similar to Virtua Fighter 2, but more different and fast paced, where 9 characters fight in armor and try to face the Big Boss B.M. (Big Mahler), the armor mechanic makes your character weaker if you break either the top or bottom portion, also, unlike VF2, there are no Ring-Outs during gameplay, but you can knock them out of it after a KO with certain moves or even a Jump Kick will do.

General Achievement Note: Most of all of the achievements have How-To Descriptions making earning the achievements simpler, of course those mentioned some can be done in either Arcade/Versus.

/Pad = Move = Guard/ or = Punch/ = Kick (you can change button settings in options.) for pause and other options during gameplay. (Also in-game movelist too.)

Universal Moves:

Backdash/Run: Tap either or
Throw: + when close.
Air Recovery: ++/ when certain attacks hit you in mid air such as jump kicks.
Remove Armor: , , , +++/ (Must be done fairly quickly, first timers might have problems doing it.)

Part 1: Here's what you'll earn in this order easily...

Stages 1-4, then Ranking, Mahler, Kids Mode, Random Mode, Wall Breaker, Armor Destroyer, Who Needs Armor, Class of 95 and then Sweet Tooth.

Part 2: Lastly, this is what you'll do...

Skirt Destroyer (I recommend doing it for all stages breaking Candy's armor, or rather an easy way winning 10 times to break the armor off then 11th match), and Perfect (on Stage 1 fighting Bahn on Easy skillfully or rather another easy way just to press start on 2nd controller just to beat opponent up for a free perfect victory).

Although an easy completion, it'll take a while to get a Perfect and getting all of Candy's Armor off in every stage, Fighting Vipers pushes the game to the limit with Online mode and Smooth Rendering as well.

Stage 4 Complete20
Complete Stage 4 of Arcade Mode (any difficulty)

Simply beat all four opponents on Easy, set timer to 10 seconds, and punch/kick, combo, and jump kick away to beat them under time up.

Win a round without receiving any damage in Arcade Mode (any difficulty)   (1)

his may be a little tough at the beginning but play as Bahn on Easy on the 1st stage, then Block when necessary, then Jump Kick (, + ) and press + for extra attack when opponent is on the ground. Also doing Bahn's , + might work too.

An alternate method is to press start on 2nd player during Arcade and beat the opponent quickly for an easy perfect.

Ranking Mode20
Play Ranking Mode in Arcade Mode (hold down P+K+D+START during Attract Mode)   (2)

Self Explanatory, input ++, then during Demonstration Play (where it says "Press Start"). You must lose both rounds for it to unlock.

Random Mode20
Hold↑and hit START during Attract Mode in Arcade Mode   (1)

Self Explanatory, Just hold and then to initiate random mode to fight random non-ordered opponents.

Kids Mode10
Select game settings in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus while holding LB+RB to activate Kids Mode   (1)

Self Explanatory, must be done when selecting the game options. Continue holding + then press .

Or thanks to BoxNerd for pointing it out to hold +++, then later, press + when starting the game to earn Class of '95, Sweet Tooth, Kids and even Random mode all at once.

Wall Breaker40
Destroy a stage wall in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus   (1)

Simply jump kick forward (, + ) while the opponent has barely any health left.

Armor Destroyer40
Break an opponent's armor in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus

This can happen easily while going for Wall Breaker at the same time, presumably after winning the 2nd match after a Jump Kick KO (, + ).

Who needs armor?20
Unequip armor in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus (quickly input →←→←+P+K+D)   (8)

Self Explanatory, but must be done quickly and fast, , , , +++/ is all 3 buttons. Must be done during gameplay. First timers might have a bit of a problem with it though.

Use Mahler in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus (at chara select, move cursor left of Grace, hit OK)

Self Explanatory, press once after highlighting Grace and then select him.

Skirt Destroyer60
Arcade Mode: unequip Candy's armor each stage, or destroy Candy's lower armor 10 times in a row   (2)

Easier with difficulty on easy, round time to 10, just break apart Candy’s Armor (quickly input , , , +++/) in all 9 stages on Arcade, doing it once on every stage is fine as you don’t need to do it again when you continue against everyone. This is the last achievement you'll do last and might have some problems with it for first timers.

An alternate method is to win 10 times while you beat up the 2nd player/controller, after the 11th match, just input the armor break to unlock it, this will also stack with Who Needs Armor if not unlocked yet.

Class of '955
Select game settings in Arcade Mode while holding the X button to enter Attract Mode

Self Explanatory, after pressing in the game options, quickly hold wait until the Intro Screen to see the Credits.

Sweet Tooth5
Select game settings in Arcade Mode while holding ↑ to unlock Candy's appearance in 2nd Attract Mode   (1)

Self Explanatory, after pressing from game options, quickly hold until the 1st attract intro and 2 demo fights, after that, the 2nd attract Intro Screen will appear to see Candy/Honey pose different like in the achievement, less replacing the Fighting Vipers Logo in the background.

Reserve 1 (if anyone has anything easier to reply in, go right ahead, currently working on this to make it a bit better since this is a real fast completion, lol.)

Also, a quickie vid guide is up by me with annotations...
