Introduction:
Welcome to Forza Horizon 2, the open world, arcade style racing successor to the popular Forza Motorsport series. While it maintains most of the features present in Forza Horizon 1, Forza Horizon 2 takes you to a new location, Europe, and introduces a number of new and exciting features. As this is an open world style game, you are free to explore and compete in events at your own discretion and leisure. While not overly difficult this game will require many hours in order to achieve the full 1000.

Abbreviated Walkthrough:
The base of the game is built around competing in the different championship events, broken into vehicle classes, in each of the six hubs. The majority of the achievements can be completed while taking part in these events but you can break off and work on other achievements at any time after completing the first road trip. The festival events will require the bulk of your time but there are no achievements tied to difficulty so you can set the difficulty options to the easiest to save yourself having to replay events you may have lost. The points nature of the championships means that you only need to place first overall after the four events that make up a championship, therefore you aren’t required to come first in every single event.

Although there are a small number of collectible based achievements you will find that progress for these, along with the XP and Skill Points achievements will be made while competing in the main championship events and working towards "All Your Race Are Belong To Us 2.0." Other achievements such as the bucket list events, while not all that difficult, can be replayed at anytime until you reach the target score/time.

Multiplayer:
Most of the multiplayer events are in the same vein as the single player events in that you compete in a variety of events and road trips as well as co-op bucket list events similar to the single player events. Most of these can be easily boosted with a friend but are just as simple to do with randoms as they mostly require you to complete events as opposed to winning.

Mop-Up:
After completing all single player championship events and multiplayer achievements you should have unlocked the majority of the achievements. The remaining achievements can be easily mopped up thanks to the free roam nature of the game.

Storm Island DLC
(Full G&RM Found Here)

Championships:
Six achievements worth 190 of the expansion is tied to completing championships. You will ultimately be working towards the longest achievement in the expansion; "We Have to Go Back" where you must complete all 30 Storm Island championships. You will also need to win the majority of these championships to unlock the Storm Island Finale which must be won for "Storm Island Champion."

Bucket List:
There are eight new bucket list challenges featured in Storm Island. There are three associated achievements; complete your first solo bucket list challenge, complete all eight solo bucket list challenges and complete all eight bucket list challenges in co-op. The challenges are slightly more difficult in comparison to the core game bucket list challenges, but with a little practice they can be beaten.

Miscellaneous:
The remaining achievements which make up for the majority of Storm Island's achievement list include winning an event in various Storm Island vehicles, discovering a barn find, smash bonus boards, win events in stormy conditions, drive on every road, play 50 events online and three showdowns at car meets.

Porsche Expansion DLC
(Full G&RM Found Here)

Events:
Seven achievements worth 300 of the expansion is tied to completing events. You will ultimately be working towards the longest achievement in the expansion; "Horse Power" where you must complete 40 events in Porsches. Five of these achievements are gained by completing four events in five different Porsches, whilst the final achievement requires you to complete 10 events in the same Porsche. All of these achievements can be earned by either playing championships, or playground games online which will be twice as quick.

Bucket List:
There are ten new bucket list challenges, each of which features one of the 10 new Porsche vehicles. You must complete all 10 to earn the two associated achievements; complete 5, and complete all 10 of the bucket list challenges. The challenges are much easier in comparison to the core game bucket list challenges.

Miscellaneous:
The remaining achievements include purchasing your first Porsche, earning credits in rivals mode, winning a race in the wet, performing drifts and performing near misses all in a specific Porsche.

Conclusion:
Overall Forza Horizon 2 is not a difficult completion but will take some substantial time to complete. Even if you are new or not proficient with driving games, there are multiple assists and options to aid you and thankfully none of these affect the achievements.

Thanks to OctagonQontrol for some of the descriptions.

Welcome to Horizon Europe10
Arrive at the Horizon Festival.     (1)

After you first load up the game you will be given a car and a location to drive to. It’s not a race so you can take your time and get a feel for the game. Once you arrive at the main festival the achievement will unlock.

First of Many10
Win your first Championship race.

After you start your first road trip and arrive at the destination you’ll then have to start the first of four events. Set the difficulty/assists to a level you’re comfortable with (it can be as easy if you like) then aim to win the race. One tip to make this easier is to turn on the rewind feature so you can rewind if you make a mistake. Once you cross the line in first place the achievement will unlock.

Rain Master10
Complete your first race in the rain.

After progressing through the first few races you will eventually participate in a race during the rain. The weather conditions for the events are scripted and don’t rely on the weather around you when you enter the race. You only need to complete the race so don’t worry if you’re not in first place.

Wanderlust 10
Complete a Road Trip.

After arriving at the main festival you will then have to activate the road trip icon to progress. All you have to do is drive to the location marked within the time limit. The time limit is fairly generous so don’t feel like you need to drive like a maniac.

Number One10
Win a Championship.

A championship is made up of four events. Each event will award points based on your position. The higher your position, the more point you will earn. After all four races are complete the highest scoring driver will win. Again, turn on as many assists as you need and aim to win each of the four races. If you do cross the line not achieving the points you need, you can restart the race and try again. Also keep an eye on the other drivers and their position on the leaderboard as this may give you some breathing room for follow up races and allow you to drop back position a little if need be.

Multi-Disciplined10
Win an Event in every type of car.    (8)

Each championship event is broken up into different car classes, for example, Modern Supercar, Classic Racers, etc. If you are aiming to complete all championships this achievement will unlock on the way so don’t feel like you need to buy the different classes of cars from the start. Also note that while some car classes are made up of very expensive cars, often barn find cars and wheelspin cars mean you will end up with a car in this class without having to spend money.

The Train's in Vain10
Beat the Train in a Horizon Showcase Event.

After certain championships you will be invited to take part in the showcase events where you race some other form of transport. The second one of these takes place against the train. While these may look like a standard races between you and the other vehicle, they are actually timed events. These aren’t too difficult but may take some skill, again using assists and rewinds will help. You can also replay the event as many times as you like until you beat it. Once you learn the track and get a feel for the car you shouldn’t have any trouble beating the train.

Welcome to San Giovanni25
Arrive at San Giovanni for the first time.     (1)

Each road trip will take you to a different town. These destinations are scripted so you will unlock all "Welcome to…" achievements during the first six championship road trips.

Horizon Champion50
Become the Horizon Champion.     (2)

In order to enter the Horizon festivals you need to win 25 championships. Once you win the 25th event, the ‘Final’ icon will appear at the main hub. This is a long race and takes you almost all over the map. Apart from that, it’s just like any other race so make sure you have the necessary assists on to make it easier. Once you cross the line in first place the achievement will unlock. If you are nearing the end of the race and don't think you will come in first, you can restart the race and try again.

Horizon Leader20
Choose where the Road Trip goes for the first time.    (2)

After you win the Horizon final you will be told to select a destination for the road trip. Once you select a location and event the achievement will unlock.

Horizon Fan20
Complete 25 Championships.

Refer to "All Your Race Are Belong To Us 2.0"

Horizon Enthusiast25
Complete 100 Championships.   (1)

Refer to "All Your Race Are Belong To Us 2.0"

All Your Race Are Belong To Us 2.050
Complete all 168 Championships.   (7)

This will take a long time but is not difficult provided you use the assists/difficulty settings that suit you. As you progress further into the game you will have the option of selecting what event you wish to race and each time you complete an event it will be marked as completed so it will be easy to see what events are yet to be completed. To make this achievement a little quicker try and choose locations for the road trip that are nearby one another so you'll spend less time traveling in road trips. Also smashing all the fast travel reward boards will allow you to fast travel for free to each event.

Yellow Wristband10
Obtain the Yellow Wristband.

Refer to "Gold Wristband"

Green Wristband10
Obtain the Green Wristband.

Refer to "Gold Wristband"

Pink Wristband20
Obtain the Pink Wristband.    (1)

Refer to "Gold Wristband"

Purple Wristband30
Obtain the Purple Wristband.    (1)

Refer to "Gold Wristband"

Gold Wristband30
Obtain the Gold Wristband.    (4)

Each time you complete and event such as a race or a bucket list item you will receive XP. The value of this XP depends on the event and also what difficulty and assists you are using. The higher the difficulty, the more XP you will earn. As you begin to accumulate XP you will rank up and progress through the different wristbands. To obtain gold you need to reach level 150. This will unlock naturally as you work towards the other achievements and in particular "All Your Race Are Belong To Us 2.0" so there isn’t any need to grind it out early on.

That New Car Smell10
Buy your first car.    (1)

When you enter the autoshow at any of the hubs you can select to purchase a car using your in game credits. Over the course of the game you will most likely have to buy cars in order to enter specific events. Once you select a car and a paint job, the achievement will unlock.

Car Lover20
Have 50 Cars in your Garage.

Refer to "Worthy of a Sultan"

Worthy of a Sultan40
Have 175 Cars in your Garage.   (5)

There are several ways you can earn cars, through the autoshow, barn finds, wheel spins and DLC. Depending on your luck, on your way to reaching level 150 you should unlock a number of cars in the wheel spin so don’t feel you need to buy all 175 cars. Over the course of progressing through the championships alone you will likely earn more than enough credits to buy enough cars to hit 175 but do note that some cars are considerably expensive so stick to buying cheaper cars to hit 175 sooner.

License to Skill 10
Earn 5 Skill Points.

Refer to "Stone Cold Skiller"

Stone Cold Skiller20
Earn 65 Skill Points.   (17)

As you perform skills and stunts such as drifting, getting air, near misses and hitting high speeds you will bank points towards unlocking skill points. Each time you string moves together you increase your multiplier which rewards in more points overall. However, hitting obstacles like embankments, trees and other drivers head on will cancel the combo. Skill points are used to buy perks and there are several perks which will aid in your ability to earn skill points such as increasing your total multiplier and the time you have to string moves together. You should easily hit 65 skill points as you progress through the championship events particularly the off-road events as these offer more chances for stunts such as air and wreckage etc.

If by chance you still haven’t unlocked this achievement by the time you have completed everything else, you can earn easy points by grabbing a fast car and driving along the main highway. As long as you maintain a high speed and drive close to cars you overtake you can string together large combos and earn several skill points with each run.

Summer Sale10
Smash 25 Reward Boards.

Refer to "Smash Happy"

Smash Happy20
Collect all Reward Boards.    (6)

Scattered among the map are reward boards that can be driven into that offer rewards such as XP or a reduction in the price of fast travel. Each time you drive close to a reward board it will be revealed on your map as either a green (XP) board or pink (fast travel) board. While most of these will pop up as you take part in events and road trips, many of them are hidden well.

For a video and map guide refer to Maka’s thread here: http://www.xboxachievements.com/foru...d.php?t=592910

Bragging Rights10
Beat Friends or Club members on any 20 Speed Cameras.   (1)

Scattered around the map are two types of speed cameras, one that measures top speed and another that measures average speed. Each time you go past/through one of these it will add your speed to the leaderboard. You can view the leaderboards to see where your friends/club members are ranked. The easiest way to unlock this achievement is to grab a fast car and hit as many different speed cameras as possible and unless you only have friends/club members who are experts at the game, you should be able to beat 20 people without too much trouble.

A Wild Drivatar Appears!10
Win 3 Head-to-Head Races against Drivatars with a Bounty on them.   (1)

Every so often while driving in free roam you will be told a top levelled driver is near by and can be raced for bonus credits. At this point a yellow ‘target’ like icon will appear on your map. All you need to do is drive up behind the bounty car and challenge them to a head to head race. These races can be tricky and often the route displayed on your GPS isn’t the shortest route you can take or the route the bounty car will take. Once you have spent some time playing you will learn of shortcuts and open fields you can cut across as this is often the best way to beat the bounty car.

Usually you can almost travel in a straight line from where you are to where the race ends and this will net you the win. In most cases having a faster car or at least a car closer to the class of the bounty car will make it easier as well. Once you have beaten three bounty cars the achievement will unlock.

Kick the Bucket10
Scratch 15 items off your Solo Bucket List.

Refer to "Rest in Peace"

Rest in Peace20
Complete every Solo Bucket List Challenge.   (1)

The bucket list items are single events in a variety of cars broken up into either a timed event, skill event or speed event. They are also broken up into easy, medium and hard.

The timed events require you to drive to a destination within a time limit, the speed events require you to hit a certain speed through a speed trap or speed zone and the skill events require you to hit a certain skill score or perform a certain number of skill within the time limit. The majority of these won’t prove to be too difficult even if you aren’t the best at racing games and you can still enable as many assists as you like. They can also be attempted as many times as you like.

If you find you are struggling with a certain event, look for an alternate route or area in which to reach the target time/score. Also, regarding the skill point challenges, upgrading your perks related to skills and combos will often help reach the target.

Friends with Benefits10
Earn a total of 1,000,000 Cr from Rivals.   (7)

Each time you set a time in an event you will be asked if you want to compete against a rival to see if you can beat their time. Each time you do beat the target time you will receive a sum of credits and be asked if you want to try for a faster time. There is also a tab in the menu for rivals where the game will constantly add possible rivals for you to beat. This is often an easier approach as you can select your car and some cars are better suited for certain events such as using an AWD car for an off-road event. Depending on your skill you should be able to earn an average of 8,000 to 10,000 credits per rivals event, significantly more if you are better at the game. It's also worth mentioning that even if you don't beat your rival's time across the line, you will still net yourself a decent amount of credits so don't quit out if it doesn't look like you'll win. Overall this shouldn't prove to be a difficult achievement but may take some grinding.

Loyal 25
Earn 500,000 XP for your Club.    (3)

Early in the game you’ll be asked to join a car club, after doing so you will begin to work on this achievement. Every time you complete an event you will earn XP as well as earning more based on your difficulty settings, the more difficult, the more XP you earn. As you average roughly 12,000XP per race you should hit 500,000XP with little trouble.

Human GPS 10
Drive down every road in the game.    (13)

This requires you to drive along every road on the map. Each time you drive along a road a counter will be displayed with your total and you can view this number at any time in the stats page. Most of these roads will be driven along throughout the course of the game completing events such as the championship races and road trips. You will also notice that roads you haven’t driven down will be grey compared to the white and orange roads you have driven. When driving along a road make sure you drive all the way to the end until the counter pops up as sometimes the map will turn white despite you not driving along the entire road.

Should you be missing any, zoom the map in and look closely for any spot of grey you may have missed, most likely the smaller roads around areas like the airport, ruins and golf course as well as on/off ramps for the highway. Otherwise this achievement shouldn’t prove to be too difficult.

Photographer 20
Take photos of 100 different cars for Horizon Promo.   (2)

After the first few championships you will be told to take photos of all the cars at the festival. You enter photo mode by pressing up on the D-pad. You can only photograph each car once and there is a perk you can unlock that places an icon above any car you haven’t photographed to make this achievement easier. Cars can be photographed at any time whether it be free roam or during an event. An easy way to complete this is to enter photo mode at the start of each race where there will be 12 cars in view. This also makes it easy given that most events are broken up into classes so you are almost guaranteed to have 12 different cars in each championship event.

Storage Hunter20
Restore 10 Barn Finds.   (10)

Throughout the course of the game you will be told a barn find is available and a portion of the map will be circled. Somewhere in the circled area is an old barn and a new car. Usually the barn is off the beaten track and hidden amongst trees or generally out of the way but is easily recognisable as they all look the same. All you need to do is drive up to the barn and the car will be discovered and after a small amount of time your car will be ready to collect and drive.

Social Caterpillar10
Compete in 20 Multiplayer Events.

Refer to "Social Butterfly"

Social Butterfly50
Compete in 200 Multiplayer Events.   (9)

When you enter multiplayer free roam you will see a variety of icons scattered around the map. Each of these is an event that can be played, simply drive to any of them and matchmaking will begin. Alternatively if someone else triggers one of these event you can join. As you work towards the online road trip achievements you will participate in a number of these but to reach 200, the easiest way is to grab a friend and grind the drag race at the airport as this is the shortest event and can be completed in under a minute.

On the Road Again10
Complete an Online Road Trip location.

Refer to "Well Travelled"

Well Travelled30
Complete 25 Online Road Trip locations.

The online road trips are similar to the solo road trips but instead require you to take part in a road trip after each individual event. Completing all four events will result in having completed one road trip. Note that you cannot join a road trip mid-session and have it count, it needs to be joined at the start and you need to complete all four events and the road trips in between each event for it to count.

Yes We Can30
Complete 25 Bucket List items co-operatively.    (72)

These are the same as in your career but now you have to do them with two players at the same time. For almost all of them, there is a combined target which is still quite easy to get. Make sure both players hear each other or know of their driving-style. Again, there are two Bucket Lists which can be made active from your Horizon menu.

Fast and Clean10
Earn the Clean Racing Skill 100 times.

To earn a clean start you need to avoid hitting any other player for the first 10 seconds of the race. The easiest way to do this is when you start either hold back and let the others take off ahead of you or go over to one side of the road/track. Most of these will come naturally as you work on other achievements but another easy solution is to play the drag race event at the airport as this requires everyone to drive in a straight line so you shouldn’t encounter too many issues with players ramming you.

Team Player30
Win 50 Team Events.    (15)

Team Events are events where all participating players in a Road Trip are divided in Red/Blue team. Next you have to complete a race of some sort and the team with the most points (based on finishing position) wins. Again, this can be boosted with two players on Airport Dragstrip.

You Are Playground Games40
Complete 100 Playground Games Events.   (28)

These events appear in Road Trips and are usually King or Infected. Complete (not necessarily win) 100 events for this achievement. Can be boosted with two players doing Infected with a one minute lobby. Hit each other as soon as possible, infect, get credits, restart.

We Meet Again!20
Win a Showdown at every Car Meet.   (13)

There are six Meeting Points in Horizon. Drive up to it and enter. Hit to start a Showdown. Mostly it's a point to point race and cars get started based on PI. The lower the PI, the more head start you get. Get a win at each of the six Car Meets for this achievement.

Super Meet Boy10
Grab a livery, grab a tuning setup, buy a car, and enter a Showdown at any Car Meet   (15)

This can be done on four separate occasions and not necessarily in one go. Select ANY other car at the meet and you can choose to buy the livery (which will be then be downloaded to your Designs), Buy the Upgrades (if the other car has a tune which is available freely on the T10-servers) and Buy the Car (which basically takes you to the Autoshow to purchase that car). Not everyone has got a Tuning Setup on their car; ask a good friend to make any tune, share it as usual on Forza games, drive up to the meet so you can grab it. And the last one is Enter a Showdown which is basically pressing and racing against (at least) one other player.

One Down! 10
Complete a Solo Bucket List challenge.    (1)

Refer to "Rest in Peace."

You must drive over all 50 roads around Storm Island. Undiscovered roads will be highlighted grey, discovered main roads will be highlighted white, and discovered dirt roads will be highlighted orange. If you're having trouble finding a missing section of a road, it is a good idea to refer back to the bonus board map shown under the "Gotta Smash Em All!" achievement.

Skills for Thrills20
Bank a Skill Chain of 100,000 points on Storm Island.   (3)

This is easiest achieved by naturally playing the West Hill Cross Country Circuit event in the Sports Utility Heroes championship within tier six using any preferred vehicle. The Cross Country event features a wide route with constant jumps to keep the combo going. You can also further boost your points quicker by drafting, drifting and driving over destructible bushes/trees.

You can custom upgrade your vehicle at any time in the Garage or just before selecting an event. When in the Upgrade shop;

There are a total of 30 championships that must all be completed within Storm Island, but you do not have to win every single one. See "Storm Island Champion" for more details.

Survive the Gauntlet20
Complete your first Gauntlet Event.   (1)

See "Gauntlet Runner" for more details.

Meet and Beat20
Visit the Storm Island Car Meet and win 3 Showdowns.   (7)

There is only one Car Meet in Storm Island, located in the bottom-centre of the map as a blue "P" sign. Once at the car meet, after a couple of minutes you will be able to propose a Showdown race by pressing once the option is available. If at least one other person accepts the showdown, the race will shortly begin. The easiest way to win these races is to choose a low class car so you get a head start from drivers with higher class vehicles.

A foolproof method includes using the stock 1968 Lancia Fulvia without applying any upgrades, one of the best D-class vehicles in the game. As per its low class, you will get at least a 20-second head start from other players using higher class vehicles, and providing you do not make any major mistakes whilst racing, you should be able to win with a strong lead in any event.

Gauntlet Runner30
Win every Gauntlet Event.

There are a total of six Gauntlet events, one in each of the six tiers. You must first complete two championships from any tier to unlock a gauntlet event. The Gauntlet events themselves are very simple that follows a checkpoint race format but with heavy/stormy weather conditions during night time.

This Is My Porsche50
Complete 10 events in the same Porsche.

Choose any Porsche of your choice and complete either two championships, plus two more races in a third championship for the achievement (Each championship includes four races each) or 10 playground games online. You will also make progress towards "Horse Power" through this achievement.

Horse Power100
Complete 40 events in Porsches.

40 events is the equivalent to 10 championships. By the time you have completed the 5 "complete 4 events in X Porsche vehicle" achievements and the "This Is My Porsche" achievement, you will only have 10 events left to play in any Porsche, and you do not have to win the events.

If you have already completed all championships from the core game, a quicker method will be to play playground games online with a friend such as Infected mode, as each game will count as an event played.

Cup Car20
Earn 25,000 Credits in Rivals Mode with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0.   (3)

Pause the game and switch to the Porsche menu, select the Porsche Rivals tab, and choose the New Substitute event. You will be driving the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 in this event. With all assists on and without beating the target time, you can earn at least 5000 credits per run, so repeat the rivals event four more times for the achievement.

Call 91120
Pull off 30 Near Miss Skills in the Porsche 911 Turbo S.   (2)

This is easiest done on the highway by driving at high speeds near other vehicles without touching them. You can also repeat Bucket List #7 as you will be put into the car on the highway.

Widow Maker20
Win a race in the wet in a 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3.   (7)

Animal!20
Pull off 20 Drifts in the 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS.

Once in the Porsche Cayman GTS, make you way to a wide road such as the highway and initiate some drifts by holding the e-brake with  and steering left and right until you've pulled off 20 different drifts.

No Airbag Required20
Earn 20 Clean Racer Skills in the 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo.   (1)

This is easiest done in Head to Head races whilst in freeroam. Drivers will be everywhere so press  to race someone and continue to win the race without any collisions i.e. don't hit other races, vehicles, walls, trees etc. You do not have to stay close to the racer to earn the Clean Racer skill, and you will get the skill notification on screen every time you earn it. You'll earn roughly 3-5 Clean Racer skills each Head to Head race victory, so continue to challenge racers in freeroam until you've earned 20 skills.
