All According to Plan...

Halo CE: Kill the first group of enemies on The Truth and Reconciliation without being detected.

As soon as the mission begins, head to your right near the cliffside edge and station yourself in between the “U” shaped rocks. Here, you can avoid being detected given the distance between yourself and the enemy.

Now you will want to pick off all the roaming Grunts, the two Jackals, and the single Elite (sometimes there are two) from this position. Once these enemies have been dealt with and you cannot see any other Covenant forces, inch your way up the cliffside path to your right and peek towards the left. Here, you will spot a single Grunt manning a Shade turret so be ready to kill him.

At this point, slowly scan the valley below and make sure there aren’t any red blips on your motion tracker. If you’ve successfully killed the initial group of enemies stationed in this valley without being spotted, a music cue will begin, your Marines will disperse into the valley, and the achievement will unlock.

Note: At no point should you ever drop down from the cliffside edge. If you do, the Marines are scripted to move into the valley and they will blow your cover. If this happens for any reason, simply restart the mission.

Very easy on Easy difficulty. Simply load Truth and Reconciliation and go where Cortana directs you. Take your time and shoot any enemy you see while staying in cover. You can only hit the enemy when your target reticule turns red. Each sniper shot is a one shot one kill, even for Elites on Easy. You know you have been spotted if the music picks up and you suddenly see your marines show up as yellow dots on your radar.

Under very Easy. Did it on heroic with no snags. Just gold back and kill every enemy you see, one at a time as they appear around the corner. Take the elites so they don't start running around like crazy. As long as the ODSTs aren't shooting your in the clear!

Managed to get this after 5 attempts, seems a bit buggy so don't be surprised if it takes a few goes

I did it on easy about 6 times and it wouldn't unlock. I switched to normal and it unlocked on the first try.

I had tried to get this achievement over a dozen times on the classic (OLD) graphics mode and no achievement ever registered. Switched to remastered (NEW) mode, restarted the mission which was key to this, afterwards the achievement popped.

Heads up - this one actually -is- bugged, since Reach really. There is a work around, but it requires a physical copy - uninstall Halo MCC, go offline, pop the disc in, do the requirements offline, then go online. It should pop while installing the patch. You may want to do it multiple times offline, so you don't have to install the patch multiple times and ruin your internet rates. I just did it myself.
