Introduction:
Welcome to Despicable Me: Minion Rush, a fun little slide-to-play game which is very similar to the game Temple Run 2 to those that have played it. The purpose of the game is to complete certain objectives to earn fruit to open up more levels of the game. The game isn't too hard, but will require you to have good hand-eye coordination.

Tips:
What makes this game somewhat difficult is that the levels are never the same. For instance, if you play level 7 and then replay level 7, it will be different each time that you play it so you can't memorize levels. Here are a few tips that may help you.

- Utilize your power-ups to your advantage. If your objective is to travel a certain distance or for a certain amount of time, the Mega Minion power-up and Gru's Rocket power-up count towards distance and time. If your objective is to collect X amount of bananas without the Fluffy Unicorn, the Banana Vacuum power-up and Banana Splitter power-up will help you out tremendously.
- Upgrade power-ups only when needed. As you progress through the game, the level requirements for fruit will increase. Upgrading power-ups will make them last a few seconds longer with each upgrade.
- When in doubt, follow the banana trail. The further along in a level you get, the faster the game gets. Sometimes obstacles will be coming so fast it becomes difficult to see which is the safest path. Following the bananas will always steer you in a safe path. You may have to jump or slide at times, but the banana path will always get you out safely.
- Personally, I tried to stick to the middle lane when I wasn't weaving through obstacles. It just makes it easier if you're turning a corner and have to suddenly switch to the left or right lane.

Walkthrough:
The game is pretty straight forward, you have to play through levels and complete certain objectives in order to earn fruit to unlock other areas and other rewards. I would suggest just playing through the game and unlocking as many areas as you can and most of the achievements will unlock as you play.

The achievement will give you the most trouble is "Adventurer" for unlocking 25 areas. That's why I suggest playing through the game and unlocking as much as possible and you will more than likely unlock most of the other achievements in the process.

Mop-Up:
You can play any level you have unlocked as many times as you want. This will give you the opportunity to earn more fruit to unlock more levels, grind out miscellaneous achievements, or just to collect more bananas. The real grindy achievements would be "The Evil Eye" for knocking out 1,000 evil minions and "Beach Bummin'" for running 100,000 meters in the beach levels.

Conclusion:
The game isn't too hard, but there will be some levels that will test your patience. Just keep trying and hope that luck will be on your side and give you the power-ups you need. This is by no means a quick and easy completion, but it is very doable.

Finished tutorial    (4)

Story-related, cannot be missed.

This will be your first achievement after you learn how to play the game.

Despicable You5
Perform 20 Despicable Actions in the same run

A Despicable Action is booting a minion out of the way. Most of the time all you need to do is be in the lane that they are in. In later levels you have to jump or slide in order to get them.

This will come naturally when playing through the game, as some of the latter levels require to get even more than 20 just for the first fruit.

The Mega Minion power-up can help tremendously with this. The more you level up this power-up, the longer the power-up lasts, which in turn, gives you more time to perform Despicable Actions.

Fruit Enthusiast15
Collect all the fruit in any area of the Jelly Lab

This is easiest in the very first area. Just fill all the requirements for the 10 levels and the achievement will unlock once you gain all 30 of the fruit.

I recommend doing this as early as possible before moving ahead to far into the game. The reason being, once you unlock more power-ups, the more random they are. So if you need a certain power-up for the level, it might not come early in the level.

Forge Ahead10
Run 2,000 m in the same run!

This should come in later levels and there are some objectives of exceeding this amount. Once you get the hang of the game this shouldn't be too difficult. In the later levels, once you reach a certain point in the level, you'll get to a point where there are nothing but Banana Vacuum power-ups and bananas for a good while which helps out a lot.

The Mega Minion power-up and Gru's Rocket count towards your distance traveled.

Bah-na-naaaaas!10
Collect 1,000 Bananas in the same run!

This will become easier in the later levels that have tons of bananas. There are also levels that require you to get X amount of bananas in order to progress to the next level. These would be good to try these out on. In the later levels once you reach a certain point in the level you'll get to a point where there are nothing but Banana Vacuum power-ups and bananas for a good while which helps out a lot.

Some power-ups that will be good to have unlocked and possibly upgraded are the Banana Vacuum (sucks up all the surrounding bananas) and the Banana Splitter (doubles your bananas).

Excursionist5
Unlock 5 areas of the Jelly Lab

Story-related, cannot be missed.

This will unlock after you beat level 49 and get enough fruit to continue to the next area.

Head Start5
Use the Minion Launcher 10 times

The power-up itself will cost 500 bananas from the store and 750 bananas for each use, giving you a total of 8,000 bananas for this achievement. The game will notify you at the bottom of the screen at the beginning of each level if you want to use the launcher. You can upgrade the launcher to go further distances if you want.

Feeling Lucky5
Make the Fortune Wheel spin 25 times   (1)

The Fortune Wheel will appear as a "?" over certain levels you've unlocked already. If you select the level and spin the wheel, you have an opportunity to try to play the same challenge for that level in a different area. Meaning if the original area was in Gru's Labs, then you could try to play the same requirements at the beach.

You don't have to play the level for the achievement, you only need to spin the wheel. You can choose to spin the wheel again for five Gru coins, or wait until more open up as you open up more levels.

Please note that once you spin and get another location, you're stuck with that location unless you spin the wheel again.

Power-Seeker10
Unlock all Power-ups

You can unlock all the power-ups as soon as you have enough bananas to do so. I suggest waiting until you have to unlock them for the levels that require the certain power-ups.

It will cost 14,450 bananas to unlock all the power-ups. They are needed as follows:

- Banana Vacuum - Level 6 - Costs 350 bananas
- Freeze Ray - Level 9 - Costs 650 bananas
- Gru's Rocket - Level 13 - Costs 950 bananas
- Mega Minion - Level 16 - Costs 1250 bananas
- Fluffy Unicorn - Level 18 - Costs 4,500 bananas
- Minion Shield - Level 22 - Costs 2,500 bananas
- Banana Splitter - Level 26 - Costs 1,500 bananas
- Moon - Level 28 - Costs 2,250 bananas

- Minion Launcher - Costs 500 bananas (this power-up isn't required for any specific level so you must buy this from the store)

Once you have them all unlocked, you'll get the achievement. You don't have to use them all, they just need to be unlocked.

Miss The Bus5
Get run over by a bus 15 times while in the Residential    (2)

The Residential area is the third area you unlock and begins at level 24.

You don't necessarily have to get run over by a bus, you only have to run into a bus. Just run into a bus, parked or moving, 15 times and the achievement is yours.

Try Again10
Revive yourself 10 times

Reviving yourself will cost you a minimum of 200 Gru coins. When you die, you will have a short amount of time to revive yourself for 20 Gru coins. If you die again the cost will double (i.e. 20 -> 40 -> 80, etc.)

Alternatively, you can buy certain costumes that will give you the first revive free each time you play a level. But this solution is even more expensive. The "Dad" costume will cost 1,200 Gru coins.

Cold as Ice15
Smash through 100 obstacles using the Freeze Ray

This will probably come by playing through the game. The freeze ray appears often and there are several levels that require you to use the gun in some way in order to progress any further.

If you want to grind this out, level 9 requires you to use the gun and you can farm out the freeze ray smashes before you buy too many of the power-ups.

Adventurer20
Unlock 25 areas of the Jelly Lab

This will more than likely be the last achievement you get and is definitely the longest and hardest to grind. The further you progress in the game the more demanding the requirements to earn fruit gets. Here are a few tips:

And if all else fails, you can use real money to buy coins to buy costumes and power-up enhancers.

Mopping Minion5
Glide across a wet floor 10 times in The Mall

The Mall is available in the tenth area and the first opportunity you'll have at this is level 120. The wet floor areas are the sliding sections of the level. Simply make your way through 10 and you'll get this. You don't have to get this in one level as this is cumulative.

Mucho Macho10
Defeat El Macho for the first time

El Macho first appears in level 162. He isn't any different than the other bosses. You'll have to dodge his attacks and send some of his obstacles back at him to defeat him.

Rocketeer10
Use Gru's Rocket 50 times

This will probably come by playing through the game. You will come across plenty of Gru's Rockets to earn this achievement.

If you want to grind this out, level 13 requires you to use Gru's Rocket in order to progress. If you decide to go this route, I recommend doing so before you unlock too many power-ups.

Hitchhiker5
Get run over by a car 15 times while Downtown

The earliest you can get this is level 178. The car doesn't necessarily having to be moving as long as you run into a car. Do this 15 times to unlock the achievement.

Beach Bummin'10
Run 100,000 meters on Minion Beach!

After playing through the levels you shouldn't have too much grind out. Just play any of the beach levels until the achievement unlocks.

The Evil Eye15
Knock out 1,000 Evil Minions!

The earliest you see evil minions is level 50. Once you get there, you can start grinding this out as you play.

The Mega Minion power-up can help tremendously with this. The more you level up this power-up, the longer the power-up lasts, which in turn, gives you more time to knock out the minions.

Unstoppable20
Get a total Despicable Score of 5,000,000!

This actually comes a lot quicker than expected. This unlocked for me while playing through area 6.

There are several ways to help boost your score:

- Getting all the fruit for one area will get you a reward of X1 multiplier.
- Buying certain costumes will also get you X1 multiplier.
- Perform despicable actions will gradually increase your multiplier. The Mega Minion power-up will help you gain more despicable actions.
- The Moon power-up is basically a score booster. The more stars you collect, the higher the score that gets added to your total score.
