Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is coming to Xbox One and Windows 10 on March 11th, exactly one year following the delightful platformer’s original release.

Included in the Enhanced Edition is a new section of the game called Black Root Burrows, two new abilities (a mid-air dash and a Light Burst explosive attack), a couple of new difficulty settings (Hard and “One-Life”), as well as Theatre Mode, which lets you watch cutscenes, concept art and trailers.

"There is a great story sequence throughout Black Root Burrows where you're discovering the past of Naru, the mother character," said executive producer Mark Coates, discussing the new section of the game.

"You discover her roots, where she came from, and you learn a bit more about her as a character and why maybe she is compelled to do some of the things that she does later on in the game. It's all interwoven with the already-existing story."

Those who want to upgrade from the standard edition will be able to do so “for a very comfortable price”. The exact costing is yet to be revealed.
