After a two-week hiatus, the backward compatibility program is back with four new additions. The standout of this batch is Street Fighter IV, with three smaller XBLA titles coming as well: Madballs in Babo: Invasion, Luxor 2, and Poker Smash.

Fans the past two weeks were a bit upset at the lull in Backward Compatible releases, prompting Xbox Project Manager Bill Stillwell to make a statement on Twitter explaning things a bit. The statement gives some good insight into how the BC program works, including how publishers can control when a title comes to the program to coincide with their own plans, and how difficult it can be to navigate old licensing agreements. Give it a read.

There are now 343 titles on the BC program. See them all here.
