343 Industries apparently has some "exciting" news related to Halo: The Master Chief Collection lined up for SXSW this March. Set to be revealing during the Halo Championship Series Invitational, which runs from 15th to 17th March, the developer has offered nothing in the way of hints, but we're hopeful for one thing.

And that's a remastered version of Halo: Reach, which is the only full-fat Xbox 360 Halo title that isn't part of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection bundle. Now that would be pretty exciting news, should 343 confirm that. It is equally possible, however, that another big update could be announced.

"If you are not able to make it [to the event itself], be sure to tune in to Mixer and Twitch each day at 12:00 p.m. CT," 343's announcement reads. "Not only will you be treated to amazing matches and gameplay, but we’ve also got some exciting Master Chief Collection news to reveal during the show."

Launching for Xbox One back in 2014, Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been pretty well-supported, with a substantial update releasing for the game last week, adding modern aiming and more. Next up for 343 is Halo: Infinite, the next mainline entry in the series coming to Xbox One. Fingers crossed for remastered Halo: Reach, eh?
