No Man’s Sky Beyond Gets Community Missions and Featured Bases in Latest Update

Written By

No Man’s Sky Beyond patch 2.15 is out now, bringing with it two major new community-focused features, along with a load of bug fixes and gameplay tweaks.

The first new feature is the addition of Weekend Missions - a series of missions available from the Nexus once a week from Friday to Monday, which will bring players together on one specific planet. Each week's mission will continue to tell a brand new story that Hello Games plans to roll out over the next few months. Nada’s spacetime loom has detected a disturbance in reality, and it’s up to players to help investigate.

The second big addition to the game is Featured Bases. You’ll now be able to visit the Space Anomaly Teleporter in the game to find a selection of the best bases that Hello Games have seen from the community. This list will cycle on a regular basis, so you should always have some new featured bases to explore. One of the first bases to be featured is a giant working Skee-Ball machine, and judging by the short clip highlighted on the No Man’s Sky website, it’s an impressive piece of in-game engineering indeed!

The update also brings some smaller updates and fixes, including some water-rendering glitches that have been cleaned up and a fix for an issue where players could get stuck sitting down while performing a gesture. A full list of fixes can be found on the No Man’s Sky website.

No Man’s Sky is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
