Hello Games has announced that No Man's Sky will be receiving its eighth free update tomorrow, 'Synthesis' introducing a variety of quality-of-life improvements, as well as enhancements to the Terrain Manipulator, first-person Exocraft for all players (VR and non-VR), the ability to own multiple Multi-Tools, and loads more.

Using the Terrain Manipulator, you'll be able to flatten and restore ground with the 2.2 update, with terrain edits now protected from regeneration and more edits able to be made before reaching the cap. You can save custom outfits in the Customiser, while Photo Mode and creature riding has been added to non-VR versions of NMS.

Visual quality for the game's Space Map has also been improved, as have interactions and interfaces, which have been sped up. The UI overall has been improved for easier inventory management, and there are new triangular base parts, technologies, discovery pages, and other new additions.

Base building has been enhanced too, with visual improvements to the snapping system, and the capacity of Storage Containers has also been bolstered. A personal refiner can be integrated into your Exosuit's backpack, presenting you with numerous options to make planetary exploration and resource harvesting that little bit simpler.

No Man's Sky: Beyond 'Synthesis' will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on 28th November. Get the complete patch notes here.
