Last night, I completed Streets of Rage 2 again. I reckon that's more than twenty times now. I have a problem. Another problem I have is waiting for Streets of Rage 4 - a problem somewhat alleviated by this new trailer, serving up some insights into the gorgeous hand-drawn artwork being rustled up by co-developer Lizardcube.

Going behind-the-scenes at the studio behind Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap with Art & Creative Director Ben Fiquet and Lead Background Artist Julian Nguyen You, you can find out what informed Streets of Rage 4's art style, which aims to homage the original SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis games while modernising and freshening up the series for current platforms. The team has even managed to incorporate a scene dug up from Streets of Rage 2's design documents - a car careening into a wall.

Due to arrive more than 25 years after Streets of Rage 3, Axel, Blaze, and Adam are all due to return in Streets of Rage 4 (alongside Adam's daughter Cherry Hunter) when it launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC later in 2020. Can we have a proper release date soon, please?
