Nacon (formerly Bigben Interactive) and developer KT Racing have announced WRC 9, 10, and 11, extending its WRC licensing agreement into 2022. Next up, will obviously be WRC 9 in September 2020, with an Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC release to be followed by a next-gen version later in the year.

An even greater commitment to realism, while providing a challenge for rally fans will be brought to the fore in WRC 9, with an enhanced and "more challenging" Career mode, boasting improved gameplay mechanics, new options for upgrading your team, a wider selection of events, and a closer link to the real-world rally championship teams.

Three new events including Kenya's Safari Rally, Rally Japan and Rally New Zealand will also be added to the calendar, while over 50 official teams, 15 bonus cars from WRC history, and more will all feature too. Gameplay-wise, car physics promise to be more realistic, with suspension, braking and mass transfer all taken into account.

Your car's responsiveness on all surfaces and conditions will also be a consideration, as will a "special focus" on audio for "deeper immersion".  WRC 9 will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on 3rd September 2020, before heading to Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch at a later date.
