Dovetail Games, the developer behind Fishing Sim World, has announced The Catch: Carp & Coarse, a species hunting sim set to launch this summer. Tasking you with targeting and pursuing aquatic monsters from rivers and lakes around the world, The Catch includes 35 species of fish to hunt down.

Choosing your angling spot, you'll need to have a strategy figured out, as well as patience to succeed with a range of variables in mind, including time of day, weather conditions, and your equipment setup. Casting out your reel, you'll then seek to net an elusive big catch, from one of the dozens of realistic fish on offer.

Rare species like pacu, mekong, and redtail catfish are set to feature, alongside 125 legendary Boss Fish to catch, including 11 Monster Boss Fish that will put up a fight. Licensed gear, five unique locations like Oxlease Lake, Pearl Lake in Malaysia, urban fishing in Rotterdam, and Scotland's Loch Mickle will also be in the game.

Water flow will also be a factor to take into account when striving to net a scaly beast, while multiplayer and tournaments will offer competitive options, with exclusive rewards to be unlocked via the game's mastery system. The Catch: Carp & Coarse will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in summer 2020.
