Hello Games has released the free Patch 2.4 for No Man's Sky, adding the Minotaur Heavy Exocraft Hybrid mech as an entirely new way to explore the game's innumerable planet surfaces. Boasting a powerful jetpack, the Minotaur exo mech can traverse long distances with a single leap, and is immune to all planetary hazards.

While safely enveloped in the Minotaur exo mech, you can examine extra planetary data readouts from within the cockpit, while directly collecting materials and using the craft's mining laser (which can be upgraded to a Terrain Manipulator) to bore into the earth. All exocraft can also be upgraded with solar panels, so you can recharge their engines in the daylight.

Equip any exocraft with a Signal Booster for performing scans, and you can reveal points of interest, while building an Orbital Exocraft Materialiser (if you own a freighter in the star system you're exploring) will enable you to drop an Exocraft to your position.

Base building quality-of-life improvements, exotic decals for Exocraft from the Quicksilver Companion Robot, and the ability to construct an Electrical Cloaking Unit for bases to hide power lines, as well as visual improvements have also been added with Patch 2.4, available for No Man's Sky now.
