As Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath eyes its Tuesday release, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm have released a new launch trailer for the upcoming expansion, revealing a snippet of the next chapter in MK 11's Story mode, which picks up where Raiden and Fire God Liu Kang left off.

As the new keeper or time and Earthrealm's appointed protector, Liu Kang finds himself having to search for Kronika's Crown in order to activate her hourglass and reset history. That means forging an unlikely alliance with Shang Tsung, as well as Fujin and Nightwolf, and embarking upon another time-bending quest.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath is due to launch on 26th May at 4pm BST, with the Story mode expansion and playable fighters Fujin, Sheeva, and RoboCop. A free update will also roll out at the same time, adding Stage Fatalities, new arenas, and Friendships for all players. Check out the launch trailer below.
