EA has decided to delay the reveal of Madden NFL 21 planned for today, in light of protests being held across the US, following the death of African American George Floyd. Floyd was killed while in police custody, which has led to mass protests across the country, and even protests in cities around the world.

As well as EA Sports issuing its own statement, claiming that it'll find "another time to talk football," other studios and companies have come out in support of the protests and Black Lives Matter movement, speaking out against systemic racism and prejudice.

"We stand with our African American / Black community of friends, players, colleagues and partners," EA's statement reads. "Our immediate attention is on actions we can take to drive change against the unjust treatment and systemic bias that is plaguing the nation and our world."

The Last of Us Part II studio Naughty Dog also issued its own statement via Twitter, writing: "Now is not the time for any of us to be silent. For too long too many have suffered under a systemic problem in America. Too many have lost sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, fathers, and mothers. We stand in solidarity against racism and injustice."

Naughty Dog's statement continues: "Now is the time for all to do our part and end anti-Black racism and violence. Many of us at Naughty Dog are donating to national and local organizations. Please consider donating yourself. We hope to see the beginning of lasting change for POC in America. Black Lives Matter."

Bethesda and many others, including Xbox Marketing Manager Aaron Greenberg, have put out their own statements, urging people to engage and donate if they can. "Together we stand united with Black communities to listen and speak up against inequity, oppression and racism. Not just now, but always," Bethesda's tweet reads.
