No Man's Sky Adds Cross-Play Tomorrow As It Arrives For Xbox Game Pass

Tomorrow will not only see No Man's Sky heading to Xbox Game Pass, but Hello Games will also be rolling out cross-play support for the game, enabling you to join forces with anyone you like, across all platforms.

Consequently, Hello Games has replaced No Man's Sky's entire network backend, so you can connect with any platform for a multiplayer session and form cross-platform groups in-game or via the frontend. Exploring in ambient multiplayer on the Space Anomaly, in space, or on planets will also match you with players on any format.

Players on the same platform will be identified by their corresponding platform's icon, while other players on different platforms will be marked with a controller icon. The cross-play update also implements a number of quality-of-life improvements for No Man's Sky, including quick interactions, new chat options, and a selection of bug fixes.

You can read the latest patch notes in full here. No Man's Sky will be available for Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC from 11th June, alongside the addition of cross-play functionality.
