Call of Duty Warzone Adds 200 Player Battle Royale Mode

Written By

Infinity Ward has added a new limited-time 200-player battle royale mode to Call of Duty: Warzone in the game's latest update.

Players will be able to take on Battle Royale Quads, with fifty teams of four battling it out as the circle closes in ever tighter, in what looks to be the most chaotic mode yet (until they decide to do 200-player BR Singles, that is). The update also adds in-game Supply Run Contracts, which will ask players to hoof it to a nearby Buy Station within a strict time limit - doing so will reward the squad with a discount on Buy Station purchases.

A Juggernaut Royale mode has been added to the rotation, with players able to find airdropped care packages and suit up as the Juggernaut, mini-gun in hand. Once a Juggernaut is taken out, another care package will drop, meaning there will almost always be a Juggernaut on the field.

For those of you who prefer to keep things long range, there are new items and weapons littered around Verdansk that can be of service. The Spotter Scope allows you to scan the environment and mark enemies, but doesn't have the telltale glint of a High-Powered Scope, meaning you can stay undetected. There is also a new sniper rifle, the Rytec AMR, a semi-auto .50 caliber that is deadly at a distance.

Modern Warfare also gets a few changes, with the new Cheshire Park multiplayer map added to the rotation, as well as the returning Team Defender mode. You can check out the full patch notes on Infinity Ward's website here.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
