It appears that Infinity Ward and Activision are planning a significant revamp for Call of Duty Warzone's Season 5, expected to land this August with possible changes to the football stadium and the addition of a loot-filled train circling the battle royale map.

While teasers from streamer NickMercs earlier in the week pointed to the introduction of the aforementioned train, the latest teaser from another streamer, Tyler Polchow, suggest that Verdansk's football stadium will be impacted by an explosion, potentially opening the way for a new interior environment.

It's also thought that Activision is looking to add a series of connections to the heavily rumoured Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to Call of Duty: Warzone, in the run-up to the game's announcement and subsequent release later this year. The Season 5 update and a new operator named 'Wood' unearthed in the game's files (via VGC) would presumably form part of this.

Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 could be arriving on 5th August, according to the teasers, which could also mean an official announcement for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (or whatever Call of Duty 2020 might be) may not be too far behind. The classic Highrise map is also being mooted for both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone. No doubt, all will be revealed soon.
