Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Introduces the Shadow Company on 5th August

Written By

Infinity Ward has formally announced that Season Five of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone will kick off on the 5th August with a new trailer debuting the new Shadow Company faction who'll be joining the fight in the latest season.

As per the Activision blog, the Shadow Company is said to be a private military faction made up of mercenaries who were fed up of the in-fighting between the Coalition and the Allegiance factions during the Armistice and were impatient in waiting for command from Captain Price. They're made up of Rozlin “Roze” Helms (formerly Jackals), Velikan, and Marcus “Lerch” Ortega - each with their own agenda and backstory and will be Operators in the next season.

That's all well and good for the story - but it's also interesting to note that the video below does feature some of the weapons - and potentially, glimpses of some of the locations - mentioned in the previous Season Five teases from earlier in the month. It stops short however of confirming the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War stuff that was leaked via a Doritos promo last weekend.

Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare Season Five is set to drop on the 5th of August, and expect more information on the upcoming new content to be released closer to the release. Check out the Shadow Company trailer for Season Five for yourself below.
