EA Access Rebranding & Will Now be Known as EA Play

Written By

EA has announced that it is rebranding its subscription service, and from the 18th of August next week will henceforth be known as EA Play.

As per the announcement, it mentions that the current benefits of the scheme - which allows subscribers free access to EA games in the EA Access Vault such as FIFA 20, The Sims 4 and most recently Rocket Arena as well as access to early demos to titles like UFC 4 and a discount on newer titles - will remain, and teases new benefits are in the works including "exclusive in-game challenges and monthly reward drops for members on select titles."

Previously, EA's reveal events - such as during E3 - were known as 'EA Play'. Going forward, these will be named "EA Play Live"  - which it already had done for this year's event without us barely noticing at the time. Cheeky. EA Play is currently available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
