As Destiny 2: Beyond Light eyeballs its November launch date, developer Bungie has outlined some of the fundamental changes the upcoming expansion will bring to the table. With so many changes on the cards, a complete re-download of the game will be required across all platforms, with pre-loading to be made available around ten hours ahead of time.

Among the changes coming with Beyond Light is new lighting for parts of EDZ and Nessus, as well as a rebuilt character face system that means your Guardian's face may look different when the expansion launches. More character customisation options are also set to roll out, while Bungie reviewing existing player models will see changes coming to your current Guardian. You can read about all the changes Beyond Light has in store here.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, as well as Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 from 10th November, with pre-loading available during the evening of 9th November. With the culling of 'dead' content and various optimisations, you can expect Destiny 2's install size to be reduced by 30-40%, making it somewhere around the 59-71GB mark depending on platform.
